IG STAFF PARTICIPATED IN THE PRESENTATION OF THE SMALL ACADEMY17 January 2025
Professor Zakir Eminov, Director General of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.Aliyev of the MSEAR, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Institute Kamran Ramazanli and Head of the Department of International Relations and Public Relations Khanim Rzazade participated in the presentation of the Small Academy at Secondary School No. 163 in Sabail District. After the performance of the national anthem of Azerbaijan and then the anthem of the Small Academy of the school, the students presented their research papers on various topics. Students from grades 5-10 talked about the properties of water to transmit information, the importance of snails in technology, coding, the "Khari Bulbul" project, the Pythagorean theorem, historical periods of Azerbaijan, renewable energy sources, getting to know the human heart and its functions, and also demonstrated handicrafts and experimental works. The school researchers concluded their performance with the dance "Mountains of Shusha". Having expressed gratitude to the students and their teachers for their successful presentation, Professor Zakir Eminov spoke about the relationship between geographers and schoolchildren and the importance of this relationship. He noted that there are close ties between the Institute of Geography and schools; the Institute staff have repeatedly met with members of the "Small Academy" in schools and at the Institute of Geography. Seminars and practical classes were organized for them. The professor noted that holding such events helps to identify talented youth, develop the potential of students, has a positive effect on increasing interest in scientific research and scientific creativity, creates a basis for developing their logical thinking, and also plays an important role in choosing a profession. Then the school director, a teacher of the highest category, Nisa Huseynova, spoke about the activities of the Small Academy in conducting scientific research and the support that the school teachers provide to students. She also expressed gratitude to Professor Zakir Eminov for the attention and support of the Institute of Geography to the activities of the Small Academy.  170 |
