Soil Scientists studied soil cover of plains around the Caspian Sea
27 September 2018 A group of employees of the Department of Geography of Land Resources at the Institute of Geography of ANAS named after acad. H. Aliyev, under the guidance of doc.Ismayil Guliyev, head of this Department, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, have been in field expedition to the Caspian Sea, from the coast of Sumgayitchay until Samurchay.

Investigations were conducted in the region from the coast of the Caspian Sea to the Karabakh plain
12 September 2018 In July, this year, Group of staff of the department “Landscape Research and Landscape Planning” of Institute of Geography named after acad. H.Aliyev of ANAS- Elkhan Mamedbekov, Museib Yunusov, Saida Zeynalova, visited a field expedition to a large area from the coast to the Karabakh plain. Scientists have investigated the differences of semi-desert, desert, forest field landscape, with the aim of determining the directions of anthropogenic transformations and the dynamics of landscapes in the intermountain basin of the Kura River.

Scientists on landscape have been on expedition to the north-eastern slope of the Greater Caucasus
11 September 2018 Employees of the department of Landscape and Landscape Planning of the IG named after H.Aliyev of NANA- Stara Tarixazer, Zarnura Hamidova, Elina Kerimova, Sevil Quliyeva, Samira Alekperova and Sevindj Mamiyeva have been on the field expedition in the territories located on the north-east slope of the Greater Caucasus on July 16-20.

The employees of the department of paleogeography visited Oghuz region
09 September 2018 The employees of the department of paleogeography of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.A. of ANAS- D.Sc.in Geography E.Taghiyeva, PhD R.Fataliyev, A.Aliyev and V.Agayeva have been in expedition in Oghuz region June 25-30 to study on the Southern slope of the Greater Caucasus in accordance with the implementation of the work plan for 2017-2020 on the theme: “Evolution of the natural conditions of the western flank of the South Caspian basin during the periods of Pliocene and Eopleystocene and its role in the formation of oil fields”.
